Privacy Policy

Library Circulation Records:

Under Illinois law and in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the American Library Association, library patron records and circulation records are confidential.  The Library will not disclose any information concerning library users or circulation activity to non-library staff, except under legal constraint.

Course Reserves Materials:

The Library does not assume responsibility for lost or damaged personal copies.  Under Illinois law, and in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the American Library Association, the library does not disclose the identity of any student who has borrowed reserve materials.

Library Computer Usage:

Use of the Library website and workstations generates usage data which may be used by the library to analyze and improve its services.  No information of a personal nature is collected or retained by the Library during this process.

Printing:

While the library does its best to protect the privacy of the materials that library users print, when printing to a centralized printing station, our staff cannot guarantee that one user will not see what another may have printed. The library does not, however, keep any record of what its users choose to print.
