Requesting Books/DVDs (including I-Share)

Placing Requests

When you have a specific physical book or DVD you want to borrow, request it.

This cues library staff to pull the item and hold it for you at the library circulation desk to check out. (Bring your DACC ID!

In the results list, click on an available title.

Sign into your account with your DACC user ID/password, if you haven't already done so.

Click "Send Request".

Shows Send Request button.

Requesting through I-Share

Requesting material from other libraries in the system using I-Share is essentially the same steps as placing a request in the DACC Library, except you start by searching in the I-Share index.

Searching using the "All I-Share Libraries" index

Find a title you want to request.

Click the I-Share bar. (This may take several seconds while your request is processed.)

Clicking the I-Share bar

Click "Send Request" as you would for an in-house item.

Allow time for delivery (typically 3-4 days). You'll get an email letting you know your item has arrived. Bring your ID to check it out.

If your request cancels immediately, contact Library@dacc.edu for further assistance.
