Primo 1Search Help

How to use the library's new combined online catalog and resource discovery tool to find books, articles, videos and more

Requesting Books and DVDs

When you have a specific physical book or DVD you want to borrow, request it. This cues library staff to pull the item and hold it for you at the library circulation desk to pick up. (Bring your DACC ID!) NOTE: During the COVID-19 outbreak, the library's stacks are closed to the public and this is how you get any item out of the downstairs stacks location.
Search Primo 1Search for the title. To simplify finding it, select Library Catalog as your search index.
Searching the library catalog for a title
In the results list, click on the title.
Shows label that item is available.
If a copy is listed as available, sign into your account with your DACC user ID/password, if you haven't already done so.
Click "Send Request".

Shows Send Request button.

Requesting through I-Share

Requesting material from other libraries in the system using I-Share is essentially the same steps explained above, except you start by searching in the I-Share index.
Searching using the "All I-Share Libraries" index
Select your title.
Make sure a copy is available at one of the libraries in the list.
Click the I-Share bar.
Clicking the I-Share bar
Click "Send Request" as you would for an in-house item. Allow time for delivery. If your request cancels immediately, contact Library@dacc.edu for further assistance.
